Request for submissions - Official Languages Act 2003.

Preparation of a draft-scheme by North Tipperary Local Authorities & County Tipperary Joint Libraries Committee


North Tipperary Local Authorities & County Tipperary Joint Libraries Committee propose to draft a scheme in accordance with Section 11 of the Official Languages Act 2003. The primary objective of the Act is to ensure better availability and a higher standard of public services through Irish.

North Tipperary Local Authorities & County Tipperary Joint Libraries Committee now wish to invite representations in relation to the preparation of the draft scheme from any interested parties. Submissions should ideally not exceed 4,000 words (c. 8 pages). Ideally submissions, which will be published on our website, should be forwarded electronically to rjoyce@northtippcoco.ie.  Alternatively, they may be posted to

The latest date for receipt of representations is 5 p.m. on the 26th of February 2010.
