Cois Life has published a bilingual selection of work by acclaimed poet, Liam Ó Muirthile.
The collection is a mixture of old and new work with translations into English by Gabriel Rosenstock. A selection of new poems is also read by the author on accompanying CD.
Liam Ó Muirthile is a well-established poet, journalist, dramatist and novelist. His primary achievement is poetic; his first collection Tine Chnámh (Sáirséal Ó Marcaigh, 1984) won the prestigious Duais an Ríordánaigh in the Oireachtas literary competition and further awards followed.
The book will be officially launched by Cathal Póirtéir on 8 February 2013 at the Unitarian Church on Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2 at 7.30pm.
There will be poetry readings by the author himself and by Gabriel Rosenstock and there will be music by Peter Browne, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh and Iarla Ó Lionáird.
