4,200 back Irish language drive

Thousands of people have committed to improving their Irish, Culture Minister Caral Ni Chuilin has revealed.


Hosting a birthday party in Londonderry’s Guildhall Square for Liofa – a government-sponsored language campaign – she said 4,200 had pledged “to learn, use and improve their Irish”.  She added: “I’m sure there are more Liofa celebrations to come.”
