<title>Sinn Féin recruiting an Irish Language Development</title>
  <link>http://www.gaelport.com/default.aspx?treeid=25&amp;PositionID=424</link>
<description>Do you have a passion for Irish? And for Republicanism? Interested in promoting your language and your country at the same time? If so, you may be just the person that Sinn Féin are looking for to fill a new and challenging position within the party.

Sinn Féin is recruiting for a new position in the party, that of Irish Language Development officer. This person will be involved in the implementation of the Irish Language Strategy which the party adopted at last year’s Ard Fheis in Belfast.

The policy aims at promoting the Irish language at every level in the party, working with the elected representatives and activists at all levels of the organisation to ensure that we increase the level of Irish used in our communications, at meetings and informing policy relating to the language throughout the party.

The ideal person for this post will be a fluent Gaeilgeoir, who is motivated and has a flair for great communication and working with people. They will need to co-operate with people at all levels in the organisation to ensure that the Irish language is promoted through all our structures and activities.

This is going to take energy, imagination and enthusiasm, but the successful candidate will play a key role in developing Sinn Féin as the island’s foremost political proponents of our language and culture.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to develop a strong and proactive Irish language policy for Ireland’s fastest growing and most culturally active party, or if you know someone else who does, get in touch with rosscarmody@hotmail.com for further details.
